Direct to film (DTF) printing is a new printing technology similar to direct-to-garment (DTG) printing. The main difference is that DTG technology is limited to printing on cotton garments. 2. What are the advantages of DTF transfer?
One of the features of DTF transfer is that no pretreatment is required; powdered glue does this for you. Soft, water-based inks are applied to fabrics within 15 seconds of hot pressing. Thermal transfer works best on polyester transfer film and other non-cotton textiles, which are difficult to print with regular DTG printing. DTG is mainly used for cotton garments; DTF transfer will never replace DTG when used in cotton printing; nonetheless, it is a good choice at the beginning of the company because of the independent version for mass production transfer capital investment is low.
